An excellent "big picture" look at the end times.

If you read this book because you want someone to clearly explain timelines with charts and graphs, then this is not the book for you. Also, this book is not a commentary on the book of revelation, so if you wanted to have someone explain the details of particular Bible passages you will find those commentaries in another book. However, if you are wanting someone to give the big story ideas of the drama that unfolds during the last generation and what is God's plan for the Church during that time then this is the perfect book for you to read.

I really enjoyed this book and I recommend it to anyone who is desiring to understand God's end time plan.

Robert M. Dienesch’s revised assessment places WS-117L within the larger context of Dwight D. Eisenhower’s presidency, focusing on the dynamic between military and civilian leadership. Dienesch demonstrates how WS-117L promised Eisenhower not merely military intelligence but also the capacity to manage national security against the Soviet threat. As a fiscal conservative, Eisenhower believed a strong economy was the key to surviving the Cold War and saw satellite reconnaissance as a means to understand the Soviet military challenge more clearly and thus keep American defense spending under control. 


Although WS-117L never flew, it provided the foundation for all subsequent satellites, breaking theoretical barriers and helping to overcome major technical hurdles, which ensured the success of America’s first working reconnaissance satellites and their photographic missions during the Cold War.

A must have for someone who is seeking the origins of knowledge!

I had to buy the book for a college philosophy course on the study of ancient and medieval philosophy. It's a great introductory read for anyone who's looking to study the origin of modern thought. The diversity of the book is rather extensive for the time period it aims to cover. It has a great layout and the chronological order of texts is very concise and clear. I also like that it included the Socratic dialogues by Plato in their entirety, along with many other of his famous works which include a full version of his "Republic." All in all, a great book and great buy for the price. It was also shipped to me very quickly (less than 3 business days.) Enjoy!

I had never read anything on philosophy and this book was for an intro course. Did a good job with the simple explanations of some more difficult readings. While you would want to make your own conclusions about some of the readings (given how many can be interpreted in different ways) this is a good stepping stone into philosophy.
