This book, 19 years in the making, shows that man, the earth and it's environment are all in decline, in other words affected by entropy, which conflicts with the established theory of evolution. So to start we take a critical look at evolution and the big bang theory,in order to lay the ground work for theories explored in this work. We then show what man, his capabilities and the earth were like before a drastic decline occurred. We show that man affected his environment and consequently the environment affects man. We see man was so advanced that he destroyed a planet and caused the flood. We then figure out where the water came from in the flood of Noah and decipher where the water went. Furthermore we see man by his technology accidentally caused the continents to come into existence. We examine ancient records to establish that all these things were indeed done by man and they happened during recorded history. Furthermore we find evidence of man's incredible technology in the past in these records and in archeological remains. We also figure out many other things which become clearer as things get pieced together, such as figuring out what caused the massive extinctions all around the earth, what caused the ice ages and even who UFO's belong to. We examine dating methods and show that the earth isn't as old as we think. We even take a look at some of the gods.

About the Author
No degrees or PhD's are held by this character, he is just a naturally curious fellow about his surroundings and has been since childhood. This armchair researcher, with no official post graduate schooling was not constrained by conventional theories when studying his many references used for this book. Combine this with a natural ability to organize material and a high intellect and penchant for solving puzzles all being used on ancient mysteries, meant that slowly these mysteries melted into feasible though somewhat fantastic theories. His interests were not confined to narrow focus's or fields and consequently his wider interests also helped in crossing borders of the various disciplines in order to come up with these theories. He is also an artist and painted the cover of the book which reflects some of the theories presented in the work.

Earth, Man, & Devolution
By R. Pilotte
Since the beginning of recorded time, man has thought about origins, where people came from, how and why. He has thought about the things he doesn't comprehend. Usually relegated to `Esoteric' or `New Age', many people over the years have sought, found their answers, and published.
In Earth, Man, & Devolution, R. Pilotte offers his own unique theory. Unlike so many other books, he does not come at us as a know-it-all professor or preacher; he guides us, along with himself, on an incredible thought-provoking journey of discovery.
Shunning the theories of Evolution, he begins with the Creationist standpoint. In a logical, step by step manner, using the plethora of research out there, and using the Bible and other ancient texts as timelines, he begins us with God's perfect creation, leads us through the possible falls, the flood of Noah, and other floods, the cataclysmic breaking apart of the single mother continent and the spread of the earth's crust around the globe.
Pilotte tells of Man, how and in what stages he has survived and `devolved', explaining along the way UFOs, the Hollow Earth, the Pyramids, lost cities, lands and civilizations, the Bermuda Triangle, the Philadelphia experiment, mysterious disappearances, reincarnation, spontaneous combustion, and green people ... virtually every esoteric question man has had is covered in this fantastic volume, at least in passing.
Questioning science's ability to truly test age, Pilotte theorizes that the Earth is not anywhere near as old as we are led to believe. He rationally questions the teaching of `science' when it is not proven, especially when there are other just as valid theories.
Though based on Creationism, his is not a theological text; it is a wonderful use of the scientific method, asking questions, finding answers, forming theories ... as opposed to the all too often method of creating theories, then seeking out the proof to match. His use of the Bible dove-tails perfectly with use of other ancient texts, giving all a validity often not accepted in scientific circles.
This is a thick book, with few illustrations, and salient points are often repeated to keep them in context with new information. This speeds along the script and keeps it fresh and relevant. All too often in non-fiction texts, I find myself having to go back over and over to understand new points. This is not necessary at all in Earth, Man, & Devolution. That said, this book is vast in scope and I know I will re-read it again and again.
For those of us who have always questioned the mysteries of Man, our existence and history, the unexplained, the unknown, this is the book. Whether one agrees or not with Mr. Pilotte's theories is irrelevant, the trip is fantastic and well worth any price.

Lots of Gems
By J. Heisler
Once you get past Pilotte's biblical perspective and his self-deprecatory style, there is actually a lot of information in this book. I've been studying this area for 20 years and found many gems here. Makes good bedside reading.

This Book Is A Waste Of Paper
By Edward S. Siccardi Jr.
Note to all: Don't waste your hard earned money on this book, even if you find a used one for a dollar. It's not even worth that. This guy wasted years of his life putting this dribble together.
Pilotte is a deluded religious fanatic, one of those fringe groupies who believe the history of man on the earth is only a few thousand years, a "fact" he supports using information gleaned from the bible. This is just the first of many irrational "facts" he takes to be truth and subsequently builds the book around. It would be funny if it wasn't so stupid. I spent a lot of money on this nonsense and I feel ripped off.
